Full-time professor at the National University of Tumbes, attached to the Academic Department of Forestry Engineering and Environmental Management, since April 2005, I currently serve as director of the School of Forestry and Environmental Engineering, coordinator of the doctoral program in environmental sciences, RENACYT researcher at level VI, leading the research group “Management of natural ecosystems and sustainable development”.
More than 30 years of professional experience in the public sector, a period in which I have specialized in management and sustainable development of forests, working on a model of sustainable forest development, with social responsibility, considering the forest species palo santo (Bursera graveolens), typical of the ecosystems of our northern Peruvian coast, a productive and competitive species due to the potential and benefits it possesses.
