Agricultural Engineer, Master in Rural Development and PhD in Environmental Sciences. Currently a senior professor attached to the Academic Department of Agronomy of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences of the National University of Tumbes (39 years of service: 1984-2023). He has held positions such as Director of the Postgraduate School of the National University of Tumbes, Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences in two periods (2006 to 2007 and 2012 to 2015), and has also been academic vice-rector from 2007 to 2012. He has the experience of having advised various scientific research projects to undergraduate and graduate students, in addition to having developed scientific research projects financed with canon and canon funds, projects such as the Biological control of pathogens in rice crops and on the development of saline agriculture, both including biotechnological tools of the Omics type (genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics and lipidomics).
